Concert Hall

The Concert Hall –one of the most singular in the world− is a magical space conceived as an immense glass box crowned with a large central stained-glass window. An historical and contemporary stage for great concerts and recitals that adapts to the needs of any event, the hall is personalised for each performance.

With excellent acoustics, the room is particularly suitable for for congresses, conventions, conferences, round tables, business or shareholder meetings and even as a recording studio and TV set. The modern and multi-purpose vestibule has a capacity for 80 people standing. A vital space to give acknowledgements, welcome people, use during breaks or just to have a drink.

Lluís Millet Hall

Another emblematic space in the Palau is the Lluís Millet Hall, a large hall used as a meeting point and during breaks in performances. It is dedicated to the musical maestro and founder of the Orfeó Català, Lluís Millet i Pagès. The room is two storeys high and enclosed by large, ornate stained-glass windows with floral motifs to extraordinary effect. Even more exceptional is the balcony. Recently opened to the public, it is a garden of columns, each of which is unique and crowned by stone capitals decorated with flowers, a typical trait of the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner. A luminous space which is home to acts of great solemnity.

The Palau's Terrace

The Palau's Terrace provides an open-air space next to the shelter of one of the Palau’s façades. It leads directly into the Foyer on the ground floor, enabling visitors to contemplate all the contrasting splendour of the Palau de la Música’s two architectural styles. Weather permitting, it is a charming place to have lunch and provides an extension to the Foyer’s seating capacity. A marquee can be erected here if required. It is also a suitable space for exhibitions and displays. The original, innovative lighting was designed by the architect Oscar Tusquets while the distribution of tiered seating in one area of the square makes it ideal for open-air musical performances or popular celebrations.
